La Terre is known for exquisite flower arrangements, fine goods, local hand-delivery, and personalized service. The shop is a trusted source for flowers for our neighbors and customers!
The shop will take you on a journey through each season with flowers and gifts. Whether you need table top items for your next gathering, a unique vase or a candle for a friend, that is just a start to what you will find at La Terre.
Our History
Founded by Meg Hopkins in the spring of 2019, we first opened at the Mequon Public Market. It was an incredible space to be in for our first five years. In January 2024, Sally Vander Wyst purchased La Terre and moved the shop to Foxtown in April. For the 10 years prior, Sally and her team have specialized in luxury event flowers and decor with Milwaukee Flower Company.
ABOUT OUR OWNER
Sally Vander Wyst
Sally has 20+ years of flower design experience. Having held many different positions in the flower world, working at small flower shops, for wholesalers and in large grocery stores, including founding Milwaukee Flower Co. in 2013, which is still in operation and thriving. She is happy to now find herself as a shopkeeper! Sourcing the many interesting objects that we have in stock has been such a joy, so very interesting and challenging.
Having grown up in gardens, Sally loves having her hands in the dirt and cultivating flowers. Our two acre farm is a source of flowers for the shop from July-October but most importantly the farm is a source of joy for Sally at home, here in Mequon.
